CALL TO ORDER
His Worship, Mayor Mike Hurley called the
meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.
His Worship, Mayor Mike Hurley recognized the
ancestral and unceded homelands of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓
and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples, and extended appreciation for the
opportunity to hold a meeting on this shared territory.

The following speaker appeared before Council
in response to the proposed zoning bylaw amendment:
Joel Gibbs, 7777 12th Avenue, Burnaby, appeared before Council expressing
concerns about the loss of the industrial land in the City. The speaker
believes the site is not easily accessible by transit and will result in an
increase in single occupancy vehicle use. The speaker further believes a combined
residential/ industrial development would be more suitable.

#18-25 and Rez. #18-26). The speaker believes that less parking spaces are
required as the development is transit oriented.
