Re: Returned Cheque (#15/10)

 

Correspondence was received from Phyllis Anthony, Treasurer, the Richard Major Art Group (RMAG) advising that as of 2015 May 20 the RMAG has made a decision to disband.  Ms. Anthony thanked Council for support and returned a cheque in the amount of $300.

Re: Donation of Surplus Bicycles to Bicycles for Humanity

 

The Chair and Members of the Executive Committee of Council submitted a report, together with a memorandum from the Director Finance, seeking approval to donate surplus Police recovered bicycles to Bicycles for Humanity.

The Chair and Members of the Executive Committee of Council recommended:

1. THAT Council approve the donation of twenty-five (25) surplus bicycles with a total estimated value of $625 to Bicycles for Humanity (Vancouver Chapter) as outlined in this report.

2. THAT a copy of this report be forwarded to the Bicycles for Humanity, c/o Vancouver Chapter.

Korean Community Day

 

 

An application request was received from the Burnaby North Road Business Improvement Association (BIA) for the Korean Community Day event to be held on 2015 September 26 at 4501 North Road, North Road Centre Mall.  This second annual Korean Community Day coincides with Korean thanksgiving and will showcase Korean culture and artistry and includes displays of dolls, original paitings and costumes, performances and demonstrations of Korean dancing and signing and a Kim Chi Tasting competition at participating restaurants.
