An application was received from the Dutch Liberation 2020 Canadian Society in support of their Dutch Heritage Day - Bouquet Project taking place from 2022 May 01 to 2022 May 08. A program highlight is the presentation of flower bouquets to seniors, veterans and caregivers residing in approximately 20 care homes in Burnaby, averaging 100 residents per care home. In 2021, the organization delivered 6,000 tulip bouquets to 50 senior care homes in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

An operating grant application was received from the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown to offset the expense for storage space required for their Rotary Coats for Kids program. Previously, storage space was provided free of charge, but due to a change in ownership, the cost of the storage space is now $575 per month. Rotary Coats for Kids is a year round project that ensures every child in Burnaby who needs a warm winter jacket receives one. The Rotary Club of Metrotown has been facilitating this program for over 20 years.

REQUEST: (P) $15,000

An application was received from British Columbia Institute of Technology in support of their Evolution '22 Festival of Learning taking place from 2022 June 12. The event will be an open-house addressing aspects of electric vehicles, environmental sustainability, and alternative modes of transportation. Approximately 4,000 + Burnaby residents are expected to attend.

REQUEST: (O) $4,338

An operating grant application was received from Ryan's Rainbow Emergency Food Outreach Society, to offset expense for annual rent and rental insurance from 2022 January 01 to 2022 December 31. The program is volunteer driven and provides food to an average of 150 families in  Burnaby on a weekly basis.
