APPEAL: An appeal for the relaxation of Section 105.8(1) (Depth of Principal Building) of the Burnaby Zoning Bylaw which, if permitted, would allow for the interior and exterior alterations to finish the first floor, and to convert the existing carport to a garage, in a single family dwelling at 3920 Venables Street.  This relaxation would allow for a maximum building depth of 21.34 metres (70.02 feet), where a maximum depth of 18.3 metres (60.03 feet) is permitted.

(a) the fence height along the front property line would be of varying heights up to 1.83 metres (6.0 feet) where a maximum height of 1.07 metres (3.51 feet) is permitted; and

(b) the fence height along the side property line within the front yard would be of varying heights up to 1.85 metres (6.08 feet) where a maximum height of 1.07 metres (3.51 feet) is permitted.

APPEAL: An appeal for the relaxation of Sections 6.13(1)(b) (Vision Clearance at Intersections) and  6.14.2(1)(a) (Fences) of the Burnaby Zoning Bylaw which, if permitted, would allow for the construction of a new single family dwelling with secondary suite and detached garage at 6147 Waltham Avenue.  The following variances are being requested:

(a) the height of the constructed fences located in the required vision clearance would be a maximum of 1.80 metres (5.92 feet) were a maximum height of 1.07 metres (3.51 feet) is permitted;

(b) the fence height along the front property line up to 1.73 metres (5.67 feet) where a maximum height of 1.07 metres (3.51 feet)  is permitted; and

(c) the fence height along the south-side property line would be up to 1.80 metres (5.92 feet) where a maximum height of 1.07 metres (3.51 feet) is permitted.

APPEAL: An appeal for the relaxation of Section 6.14.1(1) (Retaining Walls) of the Burnaby Zoning Bylaw which, if permitted, would allow for the construction of a new single family dwelling with secondary suite and detached garage at 5680 Ewart Street.  The following variances are being requested:

(a) the retaining wall located on the west property line would be 1.80 metres (5.91 feet) where a maximum height of 1.2 metres (3.94 feet) is permitted;

(b) the on-site retaining wall located at the south of the house would be 2.87 metres  (9.4 feet) where a maximum height of 1.2 metres (3.94 feet) is permitted; and

(c) the retaining wall located on the east property line would be 2.80 metres (9.17 feet) where a maximum height of 1.2 metres (3.94 feet) is permitted.
