Search and Rescue Society
Mobile
Command Centre Replacement Project
The City Clerk submitted
a report providing information on Coquitlam Search and Rescue Society and
seeking approval for financial support to replace the Mobile Command Centre.
The City Clerk

grant in the amount of $35,000 to the Coquitlam Search and Rescue Society for

Hike for Hospice Palliative Care
An application was received from the Burnaby Hospice
Society requesting an in-kind grant for printing of promotional materials
(brochures, posters, banners, etc.) for the 13th annual Hike for
Hospice Palliative Care to be held on 2014 May 04 in Central Park. Event
proceeds support the Society’s hospice palliative care and bereavement support
programs, offered at no cost, to Burnaby residents and their families and
friends.

for Managers of Volunteer Resources to be held on 2015 May 28-29 in Delta, BC.
The conference will bring together professionals from across Canada
representing diverse sectors including sports and recreation, police and
justice, arts and culture, social services, healthcare, social development and
housing.

of 2014. The Recreation Credit program provides low-income residents with credits
that can be used towards Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services
programs and admissions.

2015 Wine, Food and Music Festival
An application was
received from the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown requesting a grant in
support of the 2015 Wine, Food and Music Festival scheduled to take place on
2015 April 25 at the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre. Proceeds
raised support the outdoor fitness circuit at Fraser Foreshore Park, a software
based literacy program for children, the Down Syndrome Research Foundation, as
well as a number of Burnaby charities and the worldwide eradication of polio.
