Council Correspondence Package 2020.07.02 - Note: In recognition of the strong desire to enhance public safety and well-being, combined with the need to explore alternative means of delivering safety services, a Community Safety Plan has been recently developed and implemented for the City of Burnaby. This Community Safety Plan was developed through robust community engagement and research to deliver on the vision of a safe community for all. The Community Safety Plan was developed with forward-thinking to engage community members and non-police resources to contribute towards priorities in the plan including Community Amenity Safety, Crime Reduction and Prevention, and Emergency Services. The Plan will be reviewed in consultation with community members on a regular basis to explore and implement appropriate initiatives that further support a safe community for all in Burnaby.
