Purpose: To seek Council direction to integrate 6570 Deer Lake Avenue into Deer Lake Park for the use of park visitors.

ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE - RE: 2024 WORLD RIVERS DAY

Purpose: To seek Council approval of the proposed program for the 2024 World Rivers Day.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - RE: PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURES BYLAW AMENDMENTS

Purpose: To propose amendments to the Burnaby Development Procedures Bylaw.

7.4

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - RE: STORMWATER MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR SMALL SCALE MULTI-UNIT HOUSING

Purpose: To provide support for maintaining the 70% impervious maximum for R1 Small Scale Multi-Unit Housing (SSMUH) zones, and seek Council direction on developing stormwater management requirements for new developments in R1 SSMUH Districts.

SOCIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE - RE: BURNABY ANTI-RACISM FRAMEWORK 

Purpose: To present the proposed Burnaby Anti-Racism Framework and seek approval to develop an implementation plan for the City.

Purpose: To inform Council about a temporary suspension of the Presenting Burnaby donation program.

Purpose: To provide an update on the NG911 Local Government Authority Agreement contract.

ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE - RE: CITY ENERGY STRATEGY PROGRESS REPORT 2023

Purpose: To provide information on the progress made in 2023 to advance the Burnaby City Energy Strategy.

ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE - RE: CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION (C&D) WASTE DIVERSION BYLAW IMPLEMENTATION UPDATE

Purpose: To provide an update on the City's C&D Bylaw post implementation.

Purpose: to amend Burnaby Development Procedures Bylaw 2022 (expand the criteria for minor variances in alignment with granted legislative authority and revise the public notification process for DVPs an TUPs)

Purpose: to permit construction of a residential multiple-family development and childcare facility. The proposal includes a six-storey non-market rental building with a childcare facility for up to 37 children fronting Southwynde Avenue

Purpose: to permit the construction of a six-storey purpose built residential rental building atop underground parking

#14616 - Burnaby Zoning Bylaw 1965, Amendment Bylaw No. 38, 2023 - REZ #23-06 (Ptn. 6800 Lougheed Highway)

Purpose: to permit the construction of two mid-rise strata apartment buildings atop a commercial podium with underground parking, and a mid-rise market and below-market rental building with underground parking in accordance with Phase 1A of the Burnaby Lake Village Conceptual Master Plan (Rezoning Reference #22-28)

Purpose: to establish a Conceptual Master Plan and Design Guidelines for the Burnaby Lake Village Site in order to guide further site specific rezoning applications over time, for the construction of a high-density multi-phased residential and commercial mixed-use development. No specific development is being proposed by the subject rezoning application.
