Purpose: To provide the final report and associated recommendations of the Mayor’s Task Force on Unsheltered Community Members.

Purpose: To seek Council authorization to forward REZ #22-17 and the proposed Zoning Bylaw text amendment for parking requirements for self-storage to First and Second Reading at a future Council meeting.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval for a Contract Award (CA) for the SFU Emergency Route Roadworks project.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval for a Contract Award (CA) for the supply and installation of synthetic turf at the Burnaby North Secondary School field.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval for a Contract Award (CA) for the Griffiths Watermain & Roads Upgrade project.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval for a Contract Award (CA) for the Imperial Street Watermain Upgrades.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval to award a Contract Increase (CI) for the supply and delivery of Portland Cement Concrete.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval to award a Contract Extension (CE) for sand and gravel supply.

Purpose: To provide Council with information on construction activity as reflected by the building permits that have been issued for the subject periods.

Purpose: To present the 2023 Statement of Financial Information in accordance with the statutory requirement.

Purpose: To propose amendments to the parking section of the Burnaby Zoning Bylaw to require electric vehicle (EV) charging requirements for new non-residential development.

The development is comprised of three buildings: a six-storey non-market rental building, a 14-storey market rental and non-market rental building, and a 20-storey leasehold strata building with street-oriented townhomes

Recommendation


THAT staff be directed to no longer proceed with funding an expanded gymnasium space at the redeveloped Brentwood Park Elementary School site;


THAT staff be directed to initiate negotiations with School District 41 regarding the joint use of a temporary field at the Brentwood Park South site; and


THAT staff be directed to report back regarding the terms of a joint use agreement for a temporary field at the Brentwood Park South site.
