CULTURE SPECIAL EVENTS PROGRAM REVIEW

Purpose: To seek approval for changes to the Culture Special Events Program and funding re-allocation.

CI - PROGRESSIVE DESIGN BUILD - JAMES COWAN THEATRE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT - PHASE II

Purpose: To obtain Council approval to award a Contract Increase (CI) with Ledcor Design-Build (BC) Inc. to complete design and construction of the work for the James Cowan Theatre Redevelopment Project – Phase II.

CI - CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND CONSTRUCTION - VENTANA CONSTRUCTION CORP.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval to award a Contract Increase (CI) to Ventana Construction Corp. for Construction Management and Construction of the Multi-Purpose Space renovation project at the Christine Sinclair Community Centre (CSCC).

HEIGHTS MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION (HMA) BIA RENEWAL (HASTINGS STREET)

Purpose: To request Council’s approval to proceed with the Heights Merchants Association request to renew the Hastings Street Business Improvement Area for the period 2024 – 2033.

REZ #23-13 - 6505 SUSSEX AVENUE - HOTEL USE

Purpose: To seek Council authorization to forward REZ #23-13 to First and Second Reading at a future Council meeting.

REZ #23-21 - 4244 NORLAND AVENUE - PERMIT FULL RANGE OF USES UNDER THE P2 DISTRICT

Purpose: To seek Council authorization to forward this application to a future First and Second Reading. 

6.7

HERITAGE DESIGNATION OF EAGLE FORD NEON SIGN

Purpose: To seek Council’s authorization to prepare a Heritage Designation Bylaw for the protection of the Eagle Ford Neon Sign.

6.8

2024 LMLGA AND UBCM RESOLUTIONS

Purpose: To present resolutions for submission to the 2024 Lower Mainland Local Government Association (LMLGA) Annual General Meeting and the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Convention.

CE - TOWING AND STORAGE SERVICES

Purpose: To obtain Council approval to award a Contract Extension (CE) for towing and storage services.

CE - E-COMM POLICE DISPATCH SERVICES

Purpose: To obtain Council approval for a one-year Contract Extension (CE) for police dispatch services.

COMMUNITY HERITAGE COMMISSION - RE: NOM: TOUR OF CHINESE CANADIAN MUSEUM

Purpose: To seek approval to organize a tour of the Chinese Canadian Museum and host a reception for City volunteers and stakeholders engaged in Chinese Canadian history research and commemoration.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - RE: DEVELOPMENT PERMIT TRANSITION

Purpose: To seek Council approval of the Development Permit Transition process.

GA - UBCM LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL PROGRAM GRANT FUNDING

Purpose: To obtain endorsement for a Grant Application (GA) from the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Local Government Development Approvals Program (LGDAP).

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE - RE: MAJOR ENGINEERING PROJECT STATUS UPDATE

Purpose: To provide an update on select Engineering Projects.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE - RE: MAJOR CIVIC BUILDING PROJECTS STATUS UPDATE

Purpose: To provide an update on the current status of major civic building projects.

Purpose: To provide an update on the 2023 Investment Program and present a forecast for 2024.

PETITION: REQUESTING AEDS FOR BURNABY OUTDOOR SPORTS FACILITIES

Purpose: To provide Council with a certified petition from the Corporate Officer from Ben Rohu requesting the automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed at Burnaby sports fields.
