Presenters: Marie Ishikawa, Director Marketing and Communications, and Insook Kim, Business Analyst

Purpose: To request funding approval for the placement of murals at the Lougheed Highway and Smith Avenue pedestrian underpass tunnels as part of the 2022 Burnaby Mural Grant Program.

Purpose: To obtain Council authority for City Staff and/or agents to enter onto the property at 6544 Imperial Street in order to bring the property into compliance with the Burnaby Unsightly Premises Bylaw No. 5533.

Purpose: To seek Council's endorsement for two transportation planning projects and entering into a funding contribution agreement with Infrastructure Canada's Active Transportation Fund.

Purpose: To provide Council with information on construction activity as reflected by the building permits that have been issued for the subject periods.

Purpose: To propose text amendments to the Burnaby Sign Bylaw.

Purpose: To seek Council approval for a Development Variance Permit to facilitate the construction of a semi-detached dwelling.

Purpose: To seek Council approval of the Temporary Use Permit #22-06 to permit the assembly and finishing of heating and ventilation equipment on the subject site for a maximum of three (3) years.

Purpose: To submit the current series of new rezoning applications for Council's information.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval to award a contract increase for additional engineering consulting services for non-market housing projects.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval for a one year contract extension for the supply and delivery of de-icing salt.

Purpose: To obtain Council approval to award a one year contract extension for the supply and delivery of light duty truck rentals.

Purpose: To inform Council of the following retirements from July to September 2022.

The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to close certain portions of highway – closure of portions of road abutting Stride Avenue, a portion of Fenwick Street, a portion of 15th Avenue, and the rear lane abutting 7514, 7532, 7544, 7556, 7568, 7580 Bevan Street and 6199 Marine Drive [those portions of road dedicated in District Lot 155A and District Lot 171, Group 1, New Westminster District: (a) by Plan 1425 identified as “Parcel A” and containing 0.259ha; (b) by Plan 24105 identified as “Parcel B” and containing 181.2m²; (c) by Plan 14019 identified as “Parcel C” and containing 543.6m²; (d) by Plan 1425 identified as “Parcel D” and containing 0.272ha; and (e) by Plan 992 identified as “Parcel E” and containing 750.5m²] shown outlined in bold on Reference Plan EPP122271, prepared by G.A. Rowbotham, B.C.L.S.

The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to close certain portions of highway – closure of 3676 Kensington Avenue, and a portion of the Sperling Avenue road allowance between 3676 Kensington Avenue and 3860 Sperling Avenue (all those portions of road in District Lot 78, Group 1, New Westminster District, dedicated by Plan 3049, containing 0.202ha and District Lot 77, Group 1, New Westminster District, dedicated by Plan 3051, containing 0.231ha) shown outlined on the Sketch Plan to accompany City of Burnaby Bylaw Number 14519, prepared by City of Burnaby, Engineering Department.
